I posted back in 2020 about our local young musician competition that my boys entered - thread is Brotherhood.

Well we just had this year's competition. My youngest son's band entered, performing a cover of Them Changes by Thundercat. They won! I'm a very proud dad, even if I'm not as good a bassist

I play a Combustion that was a gift from my wife a couple of years ago. It's an unbelievably good bass. I highly recommend them. Do you have a good dealer near you to try them out?

Very nice, it's the Combustion he's been talking about. Yes, we live near Birmingham (UK, not Alabama) which has a few good shops - Guitar Guitar and PMT, maybe a few others. We're off for a visit on Friday but I suspect it will a window shopping expedition at the moment!

Nice. My wife is from Birmingham and we lived there for a few years when we were first married. I wasn't playing bass at the time so I'm not overly familiar with the music stores there. Happy hunting and let me know if you have any questions!
