You know, the TF/410UL has been my go to rig for a couple of years now, and it will remain that way. However, the LMII brings a different dynamic to the 410UL... a little wider, a little smoother, a little sizzlier in the top end... and a surprising amount of punch. However, this needs to be gig tested. The cool thing is, the LMII is so small, I'll just bring it with me on the next few gigs along with the TF to see what it does.

I don't know how much is magic, but I'm really enjoying the sounds that come out of these things in combination with my 55-94. There is a texture to the lows that makes me feel all warm & fuzzy. Also, the MB head seems (so far) to be a bottomless pit of headroom. Even the WT800B at 1100 watts didn't feel this strong. I'm hoping to get together with some friends this week and jam at HIGH VOLUME.....this was a test that my old WT550 failed.
I am using this little thing (liitle markbass combo, cdp 121, basically a LMII head - Marco confirmed me it is the same head - with a 12" cabinet) alone with my Rob Allen in an acoustic setup (me, 2 guitars, 1 vocal). I have to keep the volume to a minimum and it sounds so well defined.
For liitle bigger gigs I add an HT112. Sounds unbelievable (specially considering the price of the combo).

There is a limiter of some sorts in the MB heads and i believe its there so you always keep the sound clean
That's a lot better than just farting out like some amps do. I haven't got anywhere near that level yet, and have played some loud gigs!
Hi, FWIW I just scored a sweet little neoprene bag at BestBuy for $24.99 that just fits the LMKII! It's made by Targus and is called the 'Slipcase Sport Notebook Sleeve'. It has the obligatory outside pocket that holds cords and stuff.

I do not know if someone has pointed it out - but Ken - the Tranny in the T-Funk is conventional not toriodal (at least my version of the TFB550 was. I was amazed too.
No, you're correct. It's not torroidal. I have the lid off of my 550B right now.
I bought the markbass sa450 a month ago, it's bassicley(basiclly?, basicley?-ive been away from usa so long that i'm forgetting english words), basic the same as LM2 except for 2 extra equalizing knobs and one VERY nice knob which controls the line out signal. Now I don't have to wave at the sound guy anymore when I want to switch a bass or fiddle with my hookups. Just turn the knob down, for me it was worth the extra money to get that line out knob. Plus it's a little bigger, so it starts to look like an amp. It baffles me how those guy's managed to get so much sound out of those light little boxes.
Yeah, and dont forget the pre/post EQ send switch on the back.
And the useless XLR on the front (for those of us that dont use uprights of course)
+1... I'm a little over my head with that techinical stuff
... my point was that it is not a switching power supply, but the weight is closer to the switching amps than the 'non switching' amps. Pretty cool.However, the Markbass stuff seems to really have more wump than any other switching power supply head I've owned (basically, the Walter Ultra and the Focus), so I guess they are finally getting these things right.
