Last night, I jammed with my buddies for the final test of the LittleMark. This test has sent quite a few amps down the road, as these boys play LOUD! It's the ultimate headroom check for new acquisitions and the LMKII passed with flying colors! This was what I was looking for with the Eden stuff but, you can't even put the WT550 and the LMKII in the same class as far as clean headroom! I finally got to hear the fan on the LittleMark though. I'd forgotten that it had one!

All in all, this amp is a keeper. I've still got my WalkAbout for the super-tubey sound, but the LMKII has moved from backup amp to #1. The VLE really extends its usage well into the vintage area.

+1... I'm a little over my head with that techinical stuff ... my point was that it is not a switching power supply, but the weight is closer to the switching amps than the 'non switching' amps. Pretty cool.

However, the Markbass stuff seems to really have more wump than any other switching power supply head I've owned (basically, the Walter Ultra and the Focus), so I guess they are finally getting these things right.

And that's what sealed the deal for me... I'd never experienced that much wump with a lightweight amp and didn't expect it with the LMII. I was happily mistaken.

so as far as the bag thing is concerned, I just picked up a very nice targus laptop bag from best buy for my sd800. It cost 50 dollars, but it offers nice protection, alot of extra pockets, a shoulder strap, and extra hard plastic skid protection on the bottom and sides. It's meant to fit a 15.4 inch screen laptop, and it fits very well, jsut a tad tight.

I might try one of the Gig Skinz (thanks for the tip joker) small mixer bags. Nice price and right size. Has an internal strap to keep the unit in place, shoulder strap, big outside pocket.

It's b/t this and the World Tour bag for me.
