TI’s Alternative for 5 String SBMM

I have used TI’s on my P and Jazz for years. I recently bought a SBMM Ray 35 and considering switching out the strings for flats.

I have not bought any strings in a long time, is there something cheaper that might be close?

just thought I would check Amazon wants way over a hundred bucks for a 5 string set of TIs

Thanks, I checked before Christmas and the cheapest I could find was 138 I think.

I put a set of Labella low tension flats on the Ray 35 today. They sound and feel lovely but they are not low tension like the TI flats! The left hand feels great, the right will take some getting used to!

Technically, the La Bella LTF are in fact lower in tension than the TIJF in terms of the actual pulling weight. Subjectively, the La Bella LTF are stiffer in feel than the TIJF.

They are much stiffer, i have played only TI’s for years, but I believe I will be able to get used to the feel! They sound really nice!

TI’s are on the way! The Labella’s sound great but the feel is not there, I need that low tension feel of the TI’s! I wish I would stop being cheap, believing something else will work as well for me!
