TI Jazz Flats is it just me?

Yeah, in my unscientific perusal of the various flats threads my general conclusion is that they work best on P basses, less so on Jazz variants, but with plenty of exceptions. I did not like them on my Jazz, but I also don't really care for an overtly favored midrange in my tone, so it's possible I wouldn't care for them on any kind of bass.

I've used them on P-basses and hollow body basses with success, but yeah like you jazz basses are hit and miss for me with TIs.

One other note on my experience with the TI Jazz flats.... A lot of people comment on the low tension. I like the low tension. It helps a ton with the nerve issues I have in my left hand.

I am confused by the definition of low/high tension because to me the TIs that I just put on my J bass seem tighter as in they flop around a lot less than the DRs I had on there which I thought was an indication of higher tension.
