I'd vote for him! I saw him perform, back in the early '80s. We were sitting within a few feet of him as he and his "band/orchestra" provided the music/soundscapes for a Merce Cunningham show.

Radiohead
Janet Jackson
Def Leppard

Roxie Music
The Zombies
Stevie Nicks

Personally happy to see The Zombies recognized. Don't understand the Janet Jackson decision. Never a huge Radiohead, Cure, or Roxie Music fan, but OK. Could go either way on Nicks.

I think the reason many disagree is some people confuse pop or dance music with Rock 'n' Roll.

If it was truly Rock and Roll they would have run out of inductees after Elvis and Carl Perkins.
