Time to move on...

Sad to say it, but my days & nights on talkbass have been brought to an end :(

I will miss a whole lot of you, I hope to see some of you around other bassist and fx junkies hot spots on the web.

First of, I'd like to say I'm sorry to my ex fellow mod Jeff Wade, I said some things in a Lobby thread that I truly believe and would say to my own folks / family... unfortunately it was not my kin, I disrespected a good man and his folks. Jeff, I am sorry. I was completely out of line and let my personal belief get in the way of yours.

Unfortunately for me, things started to heat up behind the scenes as I was dropping out of touch because of both the flu and because my family lost a member Sunday morning at 8:30am... my 93 year old Grandmother passed on after a hard year of touch and go.

I slept for 25 hours in a Nyquil fog and sadness for my Grandmother until the time I left yesterday to attend viewings and Mass (she was a devout Roman Catholic). I woke this morning to tend to some email, reported posts and subscribed threads... and to get to making things right with Jeff if I could.

Too little too late... I'm not complaining, I should have sent a quick "I'm unavailable" or some such. Despite my initial plea, my duties here were no longer wanted or needed.

Thank you Paul, Mods and Talkbassers... I enjoyed my time in your companies and will try to continue to look back on it with pride... but yeah, perhaps it is time to move on.

James, thanks for all your efforts and the time you invested in TB. You will be sorely missed.

Condolences to you and your family for the loss of your Grandmother. There are definitely more important things in life than TB. I hope you don't leave completely though.

even tho u gave me some infractions!! lol i shall miss u, u were always one of those good guys from what i can remember, and please stop by every now and again to let us know how your doing.

ps: my condolences to you and your family as well.

James, sorry to hear about your grandmother. And I recognize that the mods here have a difficult job, ESPECIALLY in the Lobby. I must have missed the Lobby thread in question, but regardless of what transpired I'm sorry that it's causing you to leave TB entirely. It's your choice of course, but I hope you'd consider staying on as a member.

Sorry to see you go. I can see why it would be hard to come back and post after being shot down in your prime but it would be nice to hear from you now and again.

I missed the thread too so I have no idea how out of order you were but am really sorry to hear about your grandmother and condolences to all your family.

James, sorry to hear about your grandmother. I lost my grandmother a few years ago, so I know how you feel. My prayers to both you and your family.

Also, thanks for the help you have lent in the past. I too hope you reconsider and perhaps stay as a member. The place won't be the same without you and your contributions, but as already mentioned, there are more important things than Talkbass. Take care of yourself first.

Take care and best wishes.

You know James, I always looked up to you in a way. Like how a little kid looks up to his older brother because he's big and strong. And I'm just a skinny stick. Plus we have practically the same name, so there was a connection there, too!

I'm gonna miss you!
