Reason #572 that I believe Talkbass to be an addiction for some. OP quits almost 36 hours ago, yet is still here reading, liking, and responding to lots of posts

I'm grateful that I'm not a Facebook guy, as I do think Talkbass has (for me anyhow) a lot more going for it. It's mostly focused around my life's calling. Facebook is random BS, cat and dog videos, politics, and, "Hey, look at me!" stuff.
I like Talkbass. I don't think I'll ever quit here again, but I would like very much to curb my habit. And I probably will take a complete break over the summer months.
I have another non-music related forum that I belonged to where I was constantly getting into arguments with people. It was a forum of a serious nature, health related. Got into a lot of crap with the main moderator, and still carry a resentment as I truly believe that he's ruining people's lives with his support (enabling) and recommendations. Anyhow, I HAD to cut myself free from that last summer, and committed to doing so for 2 months. Since September I've posted only around 2 times there, and I feel free of a ton of BS. Don't need that kind of darkness in my life.
Not looking to derail here, just looking to write. I like writing. Should be going over songs for tonight's show. I've got a pretty cool show happening tonight that I've really wanted to talk about here, but have been told I can't. Tomorrow I can.
