Thank you for the work you have put into this thread!! When I was in my 20s, the weight of a guitar or bass meant nothing to me. In my (later) 50s, it has become important. Many manufacturers don't list weights. I realize it varies for each guitar of the line, but I also suspect they would rather not discuss it.
Your great thread and even more important spreadsheet gives us "weight aware" players a reference.

I see the usefulness as an informative thread, but I don't see the point of the spreadsheet with brand and model since the same brand/model will vary wildly due to the inconsistent weight of the woods used.![]()

Since it's a spreadsheet, you can download it, slice and dice it, sort it, average the weights of any part of it, or play with it anyway you want.
One of these days I really should take the time to separate the Squier models from the Fender brand-name models. Right now I have them all entered under Fender. I may do that on the next update.
S o what brand and model is it? I can't enter it without that info.
