Ya'll just cost me another $33 on an amPlug. I had a 16% discount code that I was surprised Musiciansfriend applied. That, with an additional 8% I'll get back in points makes this $30 -- the price of an extension speaker for the little amp I just bought-- that still hasn't arrived.
Now I have to find the converter for my iPhone 7 headphone jack. I never used it before. Kinda psyched to hear how this sounds with the IEMs. I may be able to actually hear the bass a lot better - and don't have to lug around that little amp and my external speaker system. This is so much easier. You guys buying little amps are crazy, just get an amPlug. I just don't get some people.
Joe one more thing to add. The Vox Amplug is not the most robust unit (as mentioned) but its fine if you always grasp it by the plug elbow (not the unit body) when you connect and disconnect from your bass. Also, avoid smashing it (like I did) against your desk or table. Lastly use light gauge cables to attach your phones & audio source.
