Tinny tone and speakers don't move

Can anyone help diagnose this? My 2 Fender p's and Gibson ebo all sound great on other amps. Had JBL d140f's tested - perfect. Switched speaker wires- some improvement. Upgraded cords. Any turning of the tone knob on instrument towards treble results in a hollow, tinny miserable sound. Same result with my 2 amps, Sunn 200s and Accoustic 140, and both sunn cabinets with dual JBL 15's. Even at loud levels, speakers only vibrate. When any combination of this gear sounded good, speakers pumped freely. Any ideas friends?:help:

I'm not understanding what gear doesn't sound good. The way it reads to me you are getting a terrible sound from 2 different p's and also from an ebo. This terrible sound occurs when you are playing any of these basses through a Sunn 200s and also when you are playing any of these basses through an Acoustic 140, and through two different JBL 2x15 cabinets? But this gear used to sound good when it was in any combination?
