Tiny Basses

I have a Hohner B2V, a Steinberger copy from the same era as the Jack Bass. Yes, I agree with ThudThudThud -- these are KILLER instruments! I've had mine since the early 90s and it continues to impress!

I'd bought mine new in London in the mid 80s. I moved to the USA in 1990, and about 1993 I had one of the bridge saddle tuners strip out. Took it to a local guitar shop, who called Hohner.
Within a week, without any fuss, I received a new tuner with a note saying, "Sorry. That should never have happened." That's great service.
I miss that bass a lot. Convenient, stable (rarely went out of tune more than a cent), and the action was insanely low.

Not high end. But... itty bitty, neat, rare, with a full sized, vintage, "thud."
Only 27.5", FROM BRIDGE TO NUT. 37" OVERALL. And... can be YOURS!!!

I don't think you can get much more compact for a bass with standard tuning than an Ashbory:

I have one and absolutely hate it, but plenty of people love them.

Adding onto this thread, on Facebook I started seeing VB Travel and Exercise Basses (Vb Custom Travel & Exercise Guitars) show up. They look quite compact. Have any TB'ers tried one of them?
