Tiny hotel room speaker cabinet?

This one's really small and cheap. Not sure if it's also any good?

Your current rig seems to be working for you, aside from transporting it. Why not look into a bigger travel bag to accomodate it?
Not that it will help the OP , but I recently took a trip and brought my PJB X4 to practice with. I had no trouble keeping the volume low. Quieter than the tv.
Yup, I can play through mine, along with songs through Bluetooth, in my office.
The only one I can think is a Markbass Micro Mark 801, 8" bass cab, but not cheap at around $500.
You can probably get a Focal driver, used in the TE 2x8" cab, and have someone build you a cab around it, won't be cheap either.
If I were you, I would get an Headrush FRFR-108 and run direct (you maybe need a direct box if you only have a passive bass, but I plug direct in my PA cab with my active bass and get an eq as a bonus). Have the guitar player get an Atomic Firebox and have both of you out of the same speaker. As being a PA powered speaker, it can be used for all kind of other things.

Headphones wont do as the whole band needs to hear. It's low volume as to not disturb the other hotel guests. I just need enough so the bass can be heard...just like the TV volume. I've tried several combo amps and the bass distorts at just about all usable levels. The iloud along with the irig worked great until it it died. Nothing blown...it's a PCB issue. The ads is a car audio product and sounds great too...but a bit too big and heavy. I'll go to an Car Audio shop and see what they say.
Did you even read the suggestion about the Jam Hub set-up? I don't know what's currently available, but originally your situation is just what that product was developed for, along with other similar scenarios. Boss actually had something similar in the 80's, IIRC. Everybody plugs in, everybody has headphones, everybody hears each other to their liking. A small, portable, single unit. Is there some unrelated issue in general about everybody using headphones?
You will never know what you sound like to someone a door or two down, even with a tiny amp; a group of people just talking in a room has the potential(let alone a TV that's a bit too loud)to be annoying. It's a matter of respect for other people. I know I've experienced it. That, in addition to the "couple in the next room, bound to win a prize".
Otherwise, maybe the place has a meeting room, or an activity space that you could slip 'em a few bucks to use on the down low.

Thanx for all the input. I should have mentioned that the entire band meets up in a hotel room occasionally to go over tunes. Low volume of course but we can never hear the bass. My current set up works great but the speaker cab is too heavy for my bag. It's made out of cast aluminum I think.

I remember being on a tour in the support act and subbing for the headliner's bass player who had to leave. I was given a run through of the set by the headliner's BL with an unplugged electric guitar and me and my unplugged bass.
it worked fine because all I needed was the chord changes. Coming up in a time where good monitor rigs were rare I sometimes counted on "reading" guitar chords visually.
unless these are Canada style rooms above the ballroom type hotel rooms any kinda band practice is going to be super rude but u do u.

how well does that cab actually produce low notes? All the other similar budget mini cabs (blackstar, joyo, Roland, etc) fart out at anything below an open D string.
