Tiny VT Alternative?

lol. you just sound like somebody that loves his pedal to me. i'll punch somebody in the FACE if they disrespect a piece of kit i love. RRAAAARRL!!!! WITH an iPhone!!! RARRRRRR!!!!

........ just kidding. the iPhone is a pretty well thought out convergence device in a lot of ways, but i freaking hate that keyboard. i've gotten a'ight on it, but it's really not meant for somebody with bigger hands.

yeah, i've always been attracted to the Tone Hammer 'cause it does seem to pack a lot into a little package. i guess i just want something different out of my tiny preamps than most builders think people want. i do like the idea of having a minuscule box that does a great job as a preamp/DI, but can also provide the OD needs. the Rusty Box doesn't fit all that, but i'm really happy with it so far. only gigged it twice, but couldn't have gone better.

I've read a lot about this problem and I think Aguilar would have saved them selves a boat load of criticism if they had made the AGS switch a toggle instead of a stomp. The stomp implies quick switching in a live situation, but it has become clear that's not the intent.

+1, or do just what they did on the new TH500. They replaced the switch a Drive knob.

i just got that camera, and the mic sounds decent on my speakers. let me know if you want a di to laptop and i'll try to figure out how to sync video and audio. which, i'm probably going to try to pick up a decent mic soon sooooooo..... gonna have to learn that eventually anyways.

The best way I've found to sync audio and video is to use a clapboard or just clap in front of the camera. You can always cut that out later, and it works perfectly.

Of course, don't let me insult your intelligence! I do a bit of semi-pro work with video (more semi, less pro).

But you should do it quickly! I liked your review, and would love to hear some clean audio of of the light overdrive. (Clean audio of overdrive... just mull over that...)

look at you. getting all FANCY and ****. that's a really good idea actually. yeah.... i've been way lagging. and i have a show tomorrow and Saturday this week and our trailer's all packed up so the soonest i could get something up is this Sunday. i'll try to stop being a slack ***. it IS a really nice pre.

i've found that where i like it set it stays very clean with a light to medium touch but with a heavier or digging in touch it gets a bit grindy. very cool stuff.
