Got my double bass in a peculiar way. The old gravedigger at our local church called
me somewhere back in the eighties and said come and see something.
We climbed the stairs up in the clocktower and there in the sawdust attic was a doublebass buried in the sawdust. Take it its yours Nobody nows whos left it here
he told me and helped me carry it down. Also in the sawdust was a half set of drums.
The only fault was a crack in the body but i glued it together and it was just right. Four new strings later (gee the cost!!) it sounded real good. The only mark was "made in Chechoslovakia" inside the body. Dont now the age .Thinkin the fifties? Anybody got a tip? Gösta.
