TL606 cabs, or others like them

I’m not sure what this means, is the fEALful Dually a DIY plan, kit, or only a pre-built cab - what am I missing or not understanding? Oh, and how much $ is a Dually (for or with 3015s) or the plans? Thanks

Hi Joe,

Greenboy has moved away from the free plan model with his newer designs, and hasn't said anything about doing for-pay ones yet as far as I know. I'm not sure if cut kits are in the works eventually, but my impression is that these are only going to be available built by authorized builders at this time. At least one builder is offering unloaded cabs, but I have no idea on prices for any of this stuff really.

The best info on all this is always going to be on greenboy's own forum. ;)

Yeah, I’m not a member of any other online forums other than TB. Hmm, maybe sellers aren’t allowed to discuss prices on TB - I didn’t think of that, never mind and thank you very much.

You could just PM them here, I think they're all on TB too. As I understand it they can answer direct questions like yours publically, but may not want to get into competition or perceived spamming like that.

Thanks a lot for the insight Charlie!! I'm not positive I want to build one yet or if I should buy something used or wait and get something new. I can't rush into stuff like that or if I changed my mind I'd feel the fool. I'm just trying to get some legible and educated information on all this here jazz.

If you buy smart, used gear doesn't really depreciate much, I'd always go that way when feasible.

wondering if the boogie/tl-606 design would work better for drop tuning/five string use with a slightly shorter & longer shelf and maybe an EV-B instead of an L? Would this help limit the unloading and over excursion I have read about? Thanx Much.. Semi-Amateur guit cab builder here

The "B" is the better speaker. That said if you are building, there are better options.

How about starting your own thread rather than reviving half a dozen with variations on the theme?

I Come to these threads for research on building a 1-15 stand alone (1 driver) bass cab for a friend.. My main deal right now is Guitar cab design.. sorry if I bothered anyone.. This is puzzling.. someone treating a thread as if it was their new born child.. don't understand the big deal!
