Thanks! I try to rotate them both for gigs and at home. Until now had the same strings on all so I could hear the pickup differences clearly. Am about to restring with four different sets (Pyramid, Labella, Daddario and Ernie Ball flats) so that will set them apart more.

Mass does generally add sustain, however with an inlay your replacing a small amount of wood with
a small amount of another material, so unless you were adding something like brass inlays there
would likely be no noticeable difference in sustain.

I like blocks, maybe do blocks that wrap up over the top, so they cover both the front dots AND the binding dots? And make them really contrast the maple fretboard, so black, or grey. Please.

It is difficult to improve on something that looks great as is. Leave it alone.

I never liked black blocks. White pearl blocks - yes - they look cool on maple OR RW boards IMO.
