I am 36, my back and knees have really taken a beating from all manner of extreme activities over the years.
Next, I love my Ampeg SVT CL heads, my 810e cabs and my (made by me) 2x15" cabs. I particularly love the 15"s. The bottom end is enormous. I ended up switching to Eminence Legends and those speakers really added a bit more of everything over the Kappas I had previously loaded.
Now to the point. I had the idea that as long as the enclosure is designed and built properly that 2 1x15"s should give me the same sound as one of my 2x15"s. My ultimate goal being to have multiple small enclosures to move instead of my current 4 huge cabs. I also really like the idea of having say, 8 1x15"s, and being able to tune to venue size be adding or subtracting enclosures. Example, small venue=2 or 3 single 15" enclosures and a large venue, all 8. I think ohms could be dealt with by having jacks to parralell or series chaining between cabs.
What do you guys think?
