To fridge or not to fridge?

What I suggest here may be considered to be blasphemy by many, but if I was gigging on big stages, (and was forty years younger), (and money was no object), I would check out the Mesa Powerhouse 810. I say this as someone who owns, (but does not use) an Ampeg 810.

I have too many other cabinets, (both Ampeg and Mesa) that I like the sound of more than my "Dark Era" Ampeg 810 which is why I don't use it.

Realizing that I'm just getting older and more frail, I've set a limit of 99-lbs for any singe cab.
Fortunately I've got a sealed 8x10, and two 4x12s that are under that weight limit (and two matching 4x10s at 78-lbs each I could stack).
I'm even done adding anymore ~30-lb heads,
and certainly no large/heavy heads no matter how awesome and tempting they are.

A cabinet modded Acoustic 8x10 sits in my music room, never gets moved....its great at low volumes... even late at night i sit right in front of it...i substantially braced the cabinet inside.
It will fit in the back seat of my Camry and is easy to roll around with the tug bar.
I do have experience with many 8x10s in the past 5 decades....everyone should own one at some point imo!
4x10s i dont like moving around and they sit too low to the ground to hear unless tilted back.

The only fridge I care for is the Heritage. Definitely sounds different.

Late reply, but I just bought a Powerhouse 810 off local Kijiji this morning. Mint condition. Seller says it still has the store tags on it. I bought it not because I needed it but because it is getting tougher to find "big gear" anymore. I am going to take it to my band's rehearsal space and basically leave it there. Sort of for band use, sort of just for posterity. I have never owned a "fridge" so I figured I better at some point in my life. Just not sure what head I am going to run with it.
