KK, to start I have a Peavey 115 Black Widow combo. It's a great 15" speaker, it gest the job done, however I'm an effects whore. I'm running a bass whammy, DD3, Aphex Bass Xciter, BR2, VT-x (Tool fan I admit, but I almost work exclusively with my Colorsound and BR2 to get this great sound, works great with the people I play with, but I digress) I'm also buying my own Colorsound Tone Bender so I'll finally have a permanent one, also I have a Bassballs and Proco Juggernaut.
Now, because I have just the one speaker, when I play through my chain my speaker almost hits some imaginary saturation level, it starts to sound overdriven, and frankly it's getting annoying. But lucky me, i'm a good moneypincher, and am thinking of buying a GK700RB and a Neo 4x12 cab, and what I want to do is get a splitter, and split between my 115 and the GK 700-thru-the-4x12. If I were to do this would I eliminate that freakin' annoying sound from the 115? I think because I'm running my Delay and whammy it kinda catches on itself and sounds overdriven. Hoping with a 4x12 this won't happen.
And if that won't work out i'll just sell the 115.
Oh, and just a thought, if I were to make that signal split i'd run the 115 clean just to have a great deep bass tone throughout. I may have the juggernaut in there because with the Tone Bender I really don't need it, but I got the Juggernaut as a gift from my pop abd it's too much sentimental value to sell, ya know
