To the Warwick experts. Please help to identify the bass

Hey my dudes,

recently I've noticed a Streamer 5 NT for the affordable price..
I was not able to figure out is it a Rockbass, or i'm just lucky.

I've thought the same

I've tried it with every letter in a format X-XXXXX-XX,
but on a Warwick website nothing is with this number

Just doesn’t look right especially the bridge but I only have one Warwick and it’s a Masterbuilt Corvette Double Buck. The Masterbuilt is above the serial number at the area sanded

I could be wrong, but I thought Rockbass serial numbers start with an RB. If that’s the case, then it’s possible someone sanded off the RB?

If that’s the case, then it is likely a Rockbass Streamer NT1 5.

I am not a Warwick expert, but that is a Rockbass NT1 5 string.

They sanded the RB off the serial and you can see where it was sanded off the truss rod cover as well.

That is almost certainly what happened. No other reason for that part to be mysteriously sanded while the rest of the SN is intact. Probably sanded off and then bought a new truss plate (those also say Rockbass on them, but it's very easy to buy replacements that don't). I'd be willing to bet the seller listed it as a German Streamer and not an RB.

Rockbasses with neckthrough do exist. This looks like a Streamer NT 5 Rockbass. The only thing off besides the serial number is the strap pins. They're not standard, but obviously those can easily have been swapped.

The original owner probably bought a rockbass, swapped the trussrod cover, and then sanded the RB away. Someone didn't feel good with the thought of having an asian made instrument haha

Def a rock bass, so as long as it's priced like one...if you like it, go for it. Unless you wanted MIG, or they are trying to pass it off as one.

While I have not provided a ton of effort to it, I have always found the Warwick model numbers a tad confusing.
