As a 17 year old who started bass fairly recently, I think it is amazing how supportive you guys are. My father in particular is a very macho man and wanted me to do nothing but study and sports, and he still does not see the point in arts. He will get mad whenever I am practicing and has made it very clear that he thinks I have no hope in music. In some ways this has made my musical drive more but it sure would have been nice to start playing bass 3 years ago. Anyway sorry for being slightly off topic but I love how everyone here is just so crazy supportive of your kids, that is doing parenting right my friends.
