Im jealous, and I dont even like Metallica.
Cliff Burton is one of my heroes, but am I the only one who doesnt understand why seeing a bass he used is so amazing? If so, can someone please try and explain why
Metdistortion, it's as iconic as the player, one in the same if you will by association, and if you're a mega fan, it just means something more to you...
Dude, you like live in the state it's residing in, chances are you could drive there and see it....
but important enough to be jealous? (jus kidding around man, but still)I probably could, but its not that important to me.

the neck looked pretty good though it seemed like there were like little cracks in the neck joint
metdistortion - I don't feel that anyone is jealous. It's just a small part of who that person is or was. I really dig seeing Dime's Dean from Hell at NAMM. There's a small part of the soul of who the person once was contained within.
Another example would be Stevie Ray Vaughn's guitar. He didn't even play it to just "know" that it was the "One". Why? How does someone just see a guitar on a shelf and just "know"? SRV did, for one reason or another. . . .
It's completely silly but with Dime's DFH there is a sign asking people not to touch it as it is in an open display. The first time I saw it in this display there were a couple guys that touched it. I didn't even come close to feeling worthy of laying even a fingertip on it. I'm not sure why I feel this way but I guess it's because these guys, Dime, Cliff, Randy, etc.. poured time, time, and more time, sweat, blood, etc into these guitars.
