Trying to get better at reading charts and recently picked up a "Real Book" and also purchased a Real Book app and get better at figuring out intervals and becoming more proficient.

And although they dont look it, the American Standard has a fair amount of dents and dings on it, but surprisingly none around the neck pocket, and in all seriousness I actually DID shim this bass because the G saddle was bottomed out and the low E was pretty darn close. Had the bass PLEK'd and then I shimmed it and set it up myself and it's perfect now.

Yeah, i had a jazz bass i put together from a fender body and neck. Great bass but couldn't get the bridge saddles on a gotoh bridge to go low enough so had to shim it too. Did the trick nicely. That one had a few marks on it, probably shouldn't have sold it!
