today's gibson basses

I used to think the stereo Hi Fi active Alembec sound was the best bass sounding bass, but now it sounds artificial & sterile to me. It also sounds dated a bit, like one associates the whole fretless sound to 90's pop music.

That warm passive high output growly Gibson Mahogany sounds mighty good along with that old school "thump" sound of an EB-2 to me know.


The Lakland Decade is the best Gibson "type" bass in a long time, in my opinion.
