This week I'm transcribing some Strunz and Farah, and working on their stuff.
Very fast triplets, making me work on articulation and both left and right hand accuracy.

These days I'm trying to get comfortable with soloing. Over both minor and dom7 chords because for the music I play, that's what I'll need the most. So I'm going through the circle of fifths, changing keys and chord type each day. Like this: day 1 - C minor. Day 2 - C7. Day 3 - G minor. Day 4 - G7. Et cetera.

Of course, doing this will only get me acquainted with individual chords. So I set aside some time each session to practice a handful of these thrown together (with Band in a box for example).

For phrasing and vocabulary, I'm mainly listening to Ben Webster playing ballads these days. Makes me want to get a fretless...
