My amp lives in my car, and over the years, the tolex has come loose at the seams, and I'd like to glue them down so they don't get worse.
1. First, I thought I'd use JB Weld, as it worked a treat on a tear in the same tolex, but I found that it didn't spread out underneath very well. I had some rubbing alcohol nearby, and I thought that might thin it out. WRONG! There was a chemical reaction and there is now this white lumpy/powdery stuff along the seam (which is not glued down at all). Best way to get rid of it?
2. What is the BEST way to glue down those seams?
