Tom's got more hits than Eric, and his rhythm guitar is on par with Eric..everyone isn't cut out to play blistering leads.

Plenty of Eric's material has no blistering leads.

I like Tom a lot but to suggest that even his chordal work is anywhere approaching Eric's is just wrong.

Having said which its a really unimportant measure of a musician to compare rhythm guitar chops IMO.

As is the number of hits someone has.

I love Tom and Eric both, but for pretty different reasons.
