Tone control question

I just threw together a parts bass, a pair of Nord Fat Stacks (in single coil mode) and 500k pots, Vol/Vol/Tone. .022uF cap on the tone pot. So it's essentially a Jazz bass with 500k pots.
For some reason, unless both Volume pots are up all the way, the tone pot cuts volume(as well as highs) quite a lot as it's rolled back. Is there a simple solution? Works perfect(only cuts highs) with both Volumes full on.

what schematic did you use?
could you post a pic of the wiring?

Thanks for the bump. I can tell you that I did the wiring as any standard Jazz would have it- pups in parallel, like this:

I am sure I haven't done anything wrong. And I know that this setup will do this to a degree no matter what. It's just a lot more than I'm used to, with the Fat Stacks. Probably due to the impedance of these pickups, whatever. I've heard there is a way to minimize the effect, that's what I'm looking for, I think. Thanks again, Dave
