what does it mean? and is that a problem?

in the sense that for example when I turn the tone knob, instead of change the tone, the volume change..or vice versa. But it happens very few times (in a year it happened something like 3-4 times..)

I know what's happening.

If you got one of those Fender P-bass VRs this happens consistantly! The Very Rare Fender P-bass has a special connection between the volume and tone control.

It's not hidden in the control cavity. It may resemble a short rubber band stretched around the volume knob and the tone knob. Don't be fooled! It actually is a short rubber band stretched between the volume knob and tone knob.

If you remove it carefully your bass will, in that particular, look and behave like every other P-bass in the world. Be sure to save this valuable option as it separates yours from the masses. It will bring increased resale value in years to come.
