Nevermind, Pat Matelotto is right there at 0:14. I didn't catch it on the first few listens.I find it odd that Pat Mastelotto wasn't mentioned - considering he has been in several bands with Tony.
I saw Tony and Pat on tour as "Stickmen", Tony on Chapman stick. Bass and drums and Bob's your uncle.Nevermind, Pat Matelotto is right there at 0:14. I didn't catch it on the first few listens.
Only 15? You must be amazing. My brain does similar things (not with drummers tho). The difference between Levin and me is he doesn't have a day job (and is 15 times more talented)
I know this is a joke (right?), but I'd say Tony Levin might be one of the hardest working bass players around. The guy is 78yrs old and just embarked on a 65-date bus tour. I saw him about 13yrs ago on a Stickmen tour, driving around the USA in a Ford passenger van (being his own roady)! This is the same guy that has flown around the world on private jets with Peter Gabriel, and he's still driving across the country on a bus to play music every night. My brain does similar things (not with drummers tho). I would love to see Tony with Julie Slick and Adrian Belew do a show. The original Power Trio ( sans Tony Levin ) with the Slick kids was the bomb.
To be Tony's age and still be able to play the crazy bat-stuff that he does is absolutely killer. Hat's off.
Very cool. Never knew that.I saw the Power Trio and Stickmen together in a tiny venue years ago (with Danny Carey subbing for Tobias Ralph). It was pretty cool when both bands did about a 45min set together with Julie on bass and Tony on Stick (plus the rest of both bands). They did quite a bit of KC stuff in that set.
I'm really good!Only 15? You must be amazing.
Bob Fripp?I saw Tony and Pat on tour as "Stickmen", Tony on Chapman stick. Bass and drums and Bob's your uncle.
