Wow, that is an exceptional price, I would be a little suspicious of it. The seller also needs to learn how to spell the name properly too.

Occasionally a deal like this pops up. If you want to own a Ric, GO SEIZE IT! Of course you have to go look at it and play it to make sure the neck is OK. And then you have to find an original pickup to replace whatever is in there. But, yeah, that appears to be a great price.

Whenever anything is that cheap you have to wonder. By going to look at it your guaranteed there will be a bass there when you arrive. You shouldn't send your cash in YOUR place.

Buying anyhing like guitars whose popularity and prices (for vintage / collectable) have quadripled in recent years for such a low amount should be a red flag. It's the best way to scam someone by taking a stock photo and putting such a low amount to attrack a buyer.
Go to Gbase.com and look to see what reputable dealers are selling them for. $400 seems fuzzy to me.

About a week ago I rode along with a friend to a local GC, and they had a used mapleglo '96 4003 in prefect shape for $999!
Awwww, I didn't have my wallet with me, so I couldn't put it on hold, but the bass had a release date of a couple more weeks. I went back a day or so later and it was gone.
