Listened through it twice. I wish I had a more eloquent critique than "boring". I got frustrated and turned on some AEnima. Man what an album... Eulogy is still cool.

7empest is the only good song I think. Sounds like something from Undertow.

It's growing on me, just like the last two albums did. I sort of get lost when listening to it if I am doing other things and not a lot of moments are jumping out at me yet. My favorites right now are Pneuma and Descending. I do love the production and the tones from Adams guitar. I wish there was a little more stand out moments from Justin, but the sounds and riffs hes laying down are very solid. Danny is literally unreal and I miss Maynards aggression.

Does anyone else think Danny overdid his usage of toms on the album? Idk...just thought there were moments when the rest of the band was shredding but Danny kind of felt held back. Maybe it is just something I'll have to get used to...unintended reference.

With that aside, what an AMAZING album. Highlights for me are Culling Voices, Descending (GOOOONNNGGG), and 7empest. I also enjoyed going full Fear Inchoculum with Chocolate Chip Trip.
