I agree with you though MT. I actually liked Method Man better. Not a popular comment, but true for me. I liked Redman too.

Definitely. Method Man and Redman definitely rocked it. The TV show they had though...not so much
They also did a track with D'Angelo on his album Voodoo. Pino Palladino played on (I think) all of the songs. That oughtta interest some more TB folks
I don't think tupac has the best rhymes personally and I hate most new rap because it's about being all gangsta and drinking smoking sex and crap. this is why I love lupe fiasco ge is actually lyrical and makes fun of most of it, (dumb it down, if you can get the metaphors)
Ya know, folks may just laugh at this, but Juvenile was pretty dope for a while. If you actually listened to the album 400 degrees, that was a great album!

I was always partial to Digable Planets. Guru was another good one. Cool Keith too. I haven't listened to much rap recently though, those go back to my touring days in the 90s.
I'm with you on Digable Planets - two of my favourite hip-hop albums ever - but I think Guru was pretty lame as a rapper. I never liked his flow/delivery and was always surprised by how many people thought he was great.
