While I'm sure that the NS2J sounds terrific, there is something special about the P/J combo in Spectors. If you are looking for a "Jazz" type, there are lots of places I would look besides Spector. But, if you want that "Spector tone", the P/J combo is where it's at.

I went for the euro, because I have more money left over to spend on a hydrive 4x10 to compliment my 1x15 hydrive...
Also, I had a corvette standard with MEC jazz pickups and I ended up not liking it after a while so i sold it....
Never had a P.J bass but I've played Victor wooten's before and man I loved the sound
from music123 the shipping for the euro was only 50$ for next day

I'd get a used Euro with the solid maple wings. The LX's have a maple top, and and alder back. That should run you $900 vs. the $2600 on the walnut bass. With the $1700 extra you could buy a reissue NS2JAR and STILL have money left over.

These are 2 different animals anyway. The bolt on neck vs NT along with the JJ pickups vs. the PJ.

What did you have in mind for tone? What music do you play? Originals or covers? How many piece band? What other instrumentalists? Do you have any other basses? All this needs to be considered.
