Tort Top

Have you checked with Spitfire or Quickguards?

Sadly yes. Spitfire won't do blanks, and even if they did the cost would likely be prohibitive, especially with duty.

Quickguard will sell blanks and ship them to Canada, but shockingly - are you sitting down? They don't carry tort!

Just shy of $1000 shipped to me. So, yeah, naw. WD Music won't ship it to Canada at all - they direct me to their canadian distributor who in turn won't carry it.

Whoa... tort top bass sounds kinda cool, but not at that $$$. 150 bucks or so I could see, but just south of $1000? Not happening at all.

I think jazzdog has the right idea.

Sounds like a job for a faux finisher to tackle.

What about drum wrap? Walopus says they will do any custom pattern you want, it will be big enough, and they’re in Canada.
Good call! I'm feeling stupid now for a couple of reasons... first off @/\/\3phist0 has used drum wrap on a build in this very forum, and also, I helped my favorite drummer rewrap his drums over the summer. Duh.

Interesting. Quickguards does have some handsome options that are similar to tort on their website, including on their home page.
