I was browsing around craigslist, as i am wont to do because every now and then you can find a GREAT deal. (Like i noticed a gibson G-3 grabber on there that is going for 875)
I came across someone selling a cheap 5 string. 120 bucks for the bass and a hard case. It's a New York Pro 5 string, but i've never heard of New York Pro basses, and couldn't find a review of this particular bass that was worth a damn. I was just hoping someone here could toss be a bit of info on these basses before I drop a hundred bucks that could go to something else. Are they sturdy enough to be a workhorse practice bass? Is their sound quality punchy and treble or soft and mellow? If anyone can give me any info, it would be greatly appreciated.
