Totally amateur phone camera pics thread.

Rainbow in Sacramento, CA a week ago (and yes, I'm embarrassed by the fact that I didn't have the presence of mind to turn the phone sideways!):

When a double rainbow is bright enough for a phone cam to pick it up, it's probably unreal in person.

I had a job out in Alpine CA. this morning. It's a little town about 35 miles east of downtown San Diego...Thought I'd take a couple of pics

Its really beautiful out there :)

Love that part of the world! I've got a friend with a small ranch near Alpine and have had the chance ride motorcycles in that area - Sunrise Highway, Julian, Mt. Palomar, Cleveland NF and so on.

Right on!......yeah I love it out there. Nice and quiet, beautiful country side, and super friendly people.

Maybe when I retire I might just move out there

Yeah, that's a beautiful drive! And the flowers are at full bloom right now....I hear a lot of people are heading out there to check them out

Last time I was there, I went across to Borrego Springs and on to the Salton Sea. It was July. I was on a motorcycle. It was HOT but totally worth it. I'll have to see if I can dig up a crappy cell phone pic from that trip!

This is a group of horseback riders coming through my mom's property in Iowa. Her property and a few others are all contiguous properties in a valley, and lately a few other owners and she have been allowing this group to do a ride-through. Head count is usually about two hundred. Here they've just come down from an adjacent property into ours and across a big creek/small river.

Not my cell phone photo but worthy of posting. Gotta say, that is one damn good trailer hitch.

I was in a band that traveled in a 15 passenger van and towed a large trailer for gear/PA. When we had the tow bar installed on the van I asked the guy if it was sturdy. He said that if the trailer flipped it would take the van with it. The hitch and bar were literally stronger than the chassis of either the trailer or the van. That was according to our buddy who installed it anyway.
