Been a bit of an exciting weather day in Seattle ... lots of rain, with the sun trying like heck to poke thru. Just caught this double end-to-end rainbow near home 
Took this on Wednesday. Me and my girlfriend drive up to the Tahoe area, and paid a visit to the Donner Memorial State Park, and this is the memorial for the Donner party. Taken with my LG Tribute HD phone.

Dying eggs using cabbage, onion, & tumeric
OK, so this place it clearly abandoned. However, the thought of this place being inhabited recently enough to have a satellite dish blows my mind! Had to turn around and snap a pic. It's right there on the chimney on the left.

The Fingers girls goofing off in freezing cold ocean water.
The tiniest Hermit Crab we found all day. That's actually my 7 year old's fingers.
The mean as crap Alligator Snapper we saved from certain squashing on the way out of our neighborhood leaving for our adventure. Hard to tell from the pic but that shell is about the size of a dinner plate. It almost got me twice. Took about ten minutes to negotiate with it to get it back in the water just off the road.

Our little rescue dog Jackie. She has no front teeth, so her tongue hangs out while she sleeps.

Awesome! When we were heading west on 80 on our way back from Tahoe on March 22 we caught a huge rainbow in our rearview mirror just outside of Vacaville. Stopped to try to get it with cell phones and my girlfriend’s dSLR but the shots didn’t pop with the colors. Yours turned out far better.
