Actually, your photo was taken from the Redondo Beach Chart House, not Laguna Beach, just a few steps away from where I keep my boat. You can see the Chart House restaurant on the beach, just in front of my wing and on this side of the breakwater.

There are quite a few venues with live cover bands within walking distance of your hotel. Starboard Attitude on the Pier, R 10, Saint Rock, Hermosa Saloon, The Lighthouse, Naja's, just to to name a few.Yes Redondo is what I said in my head but typed out Laguna. Duh.
We even stayed at the Redondo Beach Hotel that night, great hotel. We ended up having breakfast at Polly's at the Pier.
Id like to try and get a gig at the R10 Social House.
Thanks Rollie. I usually try to keep a camera on board as you never know what you will see up there. If no camera, then break out the cell phone.man i love your shots from your plane more please![]()

This shot is Marina Del Ray in the foreground, L.A.'s largest yacht harbor. Just to the right of the harbor opening is the Venice Pier and Crazy Venice Beach. Moving up the coast and just before the coast turns outward is Santa Monica with the square buildings and high rises. Where the coast turns outwards is the famous Malibu coast where many celebrities live. The island in the far distance on the horizon is Santa Cruz Island which is offshore from Santa Barbra, CA. The photo was taken over LAX at an altitude of 2,000 feet MSL.
