Smoky haze in Central Minnesota from the West coast fires along with some in Canada and the BWCA too. About 1 mile visibility! You could taste it. Crazy thing the picture was taken midday with a cloudless sky.

I was just sitting outside during my lunch break, all of a sudden these dark clouds show up

not supposed to rain today but the Thunder is rolling as I speak

We got a brutal heat wave too, even though we've had plenty of rain were dealing with forest fires. Today was supposed to be sunny but from all the smoke blowing towards us it was a weird hazy day.
Stay cool and hydrated everyone.

I was just about to mark off-duty, climb in the service truck and head home last night...

It's so hard to take moon pictures with a phone, but this sky was such an unbelievable spectacle that I had to try. I got on top of the tool boxes for a better picture.

Just back from a short break to Kinsale in Co. Cork. Fantastic weather, and with covid relaxation, a lot of crowded beaches and roads. Still, we had a fine time, ate some good food, enjoyed a few nice walks in woods and around a couple of forts from the 1600s.
