Our heat index (Eastern NC) is supposed to be well over 100F today.
Thatcher state park last week. When I was a young boy many years ago my Grandmother would take us off trail to the many caves in the area including the Tory cave. She didn't care much about the rules but could get away with it as well! The trail goes under the waterfall in the second pic with steep stairs at each end for access.
That first one is a beauty.

Went to the orthopedist to get my thumb checked out. The x-ray tech displayed this on the monitor while I was waiting for the doctor.
