The only good thing about all the smoke in the Calif. central valley is the way it makes the sun look...oh, and it also helps keep the temperature down.

EDIT: To the naked eye, it's a much brighter orange:

Cookie the parrot. He's learning to use a kids paint program on the tablet (and a Commboard program to ask to do activities that he'd like to do, like this, or dancing or making music on the ThumbJam program).
So he has learned to select a color and apply it, then select a different color, etc. This is his second time on the program.
It's amazing watching his capacity to learn, and his expanding ability to ask for what he wants.
