Today was a beautiful day with cool clear crispy air. Mrs Stewie and I have not flown since December 8th so off to El Monte Airport for some lunch and to keep up on our proficiency skills. Passed downtown L.A and then headed for the snow pack mountains just above the San Gabriel Valley. Felt good to be back in the air again.

looks like a great spot. Very similar to the place where I laid my Dad’s ashes years ago.

This morning's sunrise was one of the most awesome I ever witnessed from my house. Looking to the east towards the Los Angeles Harbor with a silhouette of Saddle Back Mountain in the background. It literally looked like the sky was on fire.
