Today's Tsunami Tidal Surges at Redondo's King Harbor.
Went to the Marina at around noon today and there was Zero winds, so the inner harbor's water should have been smooth as glass. I then watched the tsunami tidal surges entering the marina with a current of about 4 to 5 miles an hour. (See Video) The surge would take about 5 minutes to fill up the harbor and then would start retracting back to the open ocean creating small whirlpools and chop around the docks. This cycle repeated itself about every 15 minutes or so. It was so interesting to watch nature at work.

I didn’t think the south got that much snow but we are at 6 inches already in Greenville. It’s supposed to snow until 9 PM this evening.

Not today! I'm in Raleigh for the weekend and we have a wintery mix. Granted, our "snowstorms" usually amount to an inch or so.

Now, for some banjo geek-speak. Those are first-generation Deering Goodtime banjos. I would know them anywhere. I bet the artist(s) procured these when Deering scrapped the paddle headstock and switched to the more fiddle-shaped one in current use.
