Not sure who is rescuing who this time, but this is Ruby Sue. She is a rescue who has come to live with me. She was a companion for an older gentleman who had slipped into dementia and can no longer care for her. We don't really know much about her past situation but she was pretty shell shocked and demonstrating signs of abuse when she first got here, but I'm pretty shell shocked myself these days so it's been a mutual repair situation. She just stayed hidden the first few days but has been cautiously allowing me more access and has even shown some signs of excitement when we get ready to go outside. She is becoming an outstanding snuggle buddy.

Precious. Good job!

Nice! Left room to place a VCR and it made a great low table stand for our newer flat screen TV.
I LOVE to repurpose things. Never done anything with amps, but have made speaker enclosures out of recycled wood, welder cart out of an old file cabinet, a "torture chamber" chandelier for our patio out of an old horse drawn harrow - you get the picture.... I have used old TV sets for aquariums - really cool!

Neat! I have similar feelings about recycling.

I used to make installation pieces out of debris I could scrounge behind the Emeryville race track near Oakland, CA. There used to be a lot of Styrofoam in these boulders that break the surf. The Styrofoam would get turned in the rocks and get worn let rocks. Thus they ended up looking like rocks of different colors.

That is very cool! I'm not really an artist - other than music - but here are some pics of what I have made:
