Looking at the shadow from the streetlamp across the street, I realized it's a pretty good makeshift sundial! I wanted to do this on the summer solstice, but here's July 1. I plan to do this on every equinox and solstice to see how different the shadows are.

The first two pics are 9:00am, then 9:30am, 10:00am, 12:00pm, 3:00pm and 6:00pm.

Cat got this yesterday.

It blew around the yard and ended up on fresh planted grass, where the ants had at it. It was quivering in the breeze, fooled both mrs and I that it was alive.

Canola is the highest paying common crop. Subject of much visual art. This is a healthy looking field, I saw many thin and short, affected by drought.

I noticed a moth in a marigold, and went to pull it out…

I didn’t notice the lurking crab spider, who is using the ‘cells’ of the flower for food storage. Seems to be making a good living.

Costco had a sale, a rare treat, prep underway.

Costco came through, excellent meat. 4 of us ate 2 steaks, melt in mouth. Fresh garden salad incl lettuce tomato cucumber strawberry we grew, the first pull of garden peas, garlic mashed, garden onion in the fried mushrooms. The garlic butter from above is in potatoes, on buns, in the mushroom/onion mix. Life isn’t this good that often

Annual trip to see my mum in Guildford, home of Andertons. I’ll go in later in the week to try out a Mustang and see if I can get a selfie with Lee or Nathan. For now, here is Dapdune wharf where the barges and narrowboats used to offload Their cargos of wool and coal. The building is an old alms house, Abbots hospital. Built in 1619 by the Abbot it was a shelter for eldery men and women of the town.

Cormorant on a golf hole today.

Left center between the layers of water. Flag just right of the twin trees center. My ball just behind the tree on the right, I pulled it….which falls away into water doh, lost ball. 186 into 2 clubs breeze from here.
