Totally amateur phone camera pics thread.

Taking a recording class where we are in groups and writing some things. Going to use a spectral synth with some letters from a distant relative during the Civil War. Great handwriting:

All I can say is, I'm glad cursive writing has been relegated to the history books. Given my "expertise" at it when in school, I should have been a doctor! Even when well done, it is a lot harder to read than printing which is a lot harder to read than typed. 
I've always been pretty good with copying handwriting and reading "interesting" cursive, but of the stack of letters, a lot were tricky to read. One thing that surprised me was how much of the letters would be dedicated to just... like, dumb or useless info. I just assumed when you had limited space every word would be poetic and necessary, but there is SO MUCH that sounds like a long voice-mail.All I can say is, I'm glad cursive writing has been relegated to the history books. All of these are great, but I especially like the top one!
