We drove up and stayed five days there this week and went to Canyonlands, Arches and the Dead Horse for off roading and drove the U128 byway and the La Sal Mountain Loop yesterday in the RT. The 60 mile loop reaches 8300' with the La Sal Mountain peaking at nearly 13,000' . . . just gorgeous out there!
Snap! Well not quite. This is from the same trip: Vermillion Cliffs National Monument from the House Rock Valley overlook on 894, heading up to Jacob Lake and the North Rim. It is all mind-blowingly beautiful...

Love North Rim and South for that matter . . . it's a shame what happened last summer.
Thankfully we were up there before that happened, but it was painfully apparent how dry everything was.
