Totally amateur phone camera pics thread.

No, but I did navigate the bus in from the airport, and enjoyed a pint of Smithwicks at the Prince!
Oh!
I also found a market...fruit & veg & pasties...and more Smithwicks!

Getting on toward time to head back to the airport and pick up the youngins!

Sláinte!

This is a pic I took yesterday while riding up in the hills.

This one was taken this morning from my back yard.

Sunset in Zia, Kos. Looks like I photographed Nibiru at the same time.

More bulbs, less Planet X.

Cheating a wee bit, as I used my trusty point 'n' shoot Leica for this one, but the sunset here was incredible. You felt like you could reach out and take a bath in it. My iPhone wasn't keeping up, so I switched for the better camera.

I had to shoot these photos holding my camera overhead, over the crowd which assembled to watch the sunset. Annoyingly about half the crowd were busy taking selfies. Being surrounded by a wave of sheer vanity is an odd thing, especially when juxtaposed with such an amazing natural phenomena. I'm sure those Instagram stories were worth it...

Anyway, my own experience was only let down because I knew I had an hour to get the rental car back to the depot, and this involved bumping it up a steep ramp out of an overcrowded car park. On my first attempt the car made a BAD sound coming up the ramp, so I sent my girlfriend out to do a visual inspection of the front of the car. This is when I discovered that the handbrake wasn't all that good at holding the car in place. All good fun!

These crows were yammering back & forth last week >

I don't speak Crow so I'm not sure what they were going on about, but it sounded important before they flew off together

Funny story. A couple years ago, we had a vandalism problem at work... every afternoon at quittin' time, our windshield wipers would be ripped off, the rubber strips often laying on the hood of the car as if a big middle-finger. When we finally caught the perpetrator, it turned out to be a big crow. He was going from vehicle to vehicle, perching on the hood, and yanking on the wipers like a toy. He'd destroy 8-10 sets a day.

Here's my nature entry... I happened to catch this rare sight last weekend; an Eastern hognose snake, right in my yard. When confronted, these little guys put on quite a show! (but they absolutely will not bite you) If the ferocious act doesn't scare off a predator, they will flop over and play dead.

After he/she figured out I was cool, we got a picture, and I took it up to the safety of the big woods. I figured it wouldn't last long in the neighborhood with those manners.

The one in this YouTube video isn't nearly as strikingly colorful as my visitor, but shows off a good hognose snake temper tantrum followed by a possum act. They're pretty scary if you don't know it's a ruse.
